Recognizing the daunting cost of advanced therapies for patients, VGXI has extended its services for compassionate use manufacturing to fund life-saving gene therapy treatments. Our commitment to improving patients’ lives is also exemplified by our partnership with the Rare Trait Hope Fund. Leveraging our optimized DNA production process, VGXI supplies vital plasmid DNA raw material for the Aspartylglucosaminuria (AGU) gene replacement therapy, developed by researchers from the University of North Carolina and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and funded by Rare Trait. Furthermore, VGXI has contributed a portion of the manufacturing costs in recognition of the significant personal donations and fundraising from patients’ families worldwide that made it possible to bring the investigational gene therapy to this stage of initial clinical testing.
